Richard Veenstra will make his debut at the Hungarian Darts Trophy in September after winning through the first Associate Member Qualifier of the year.
With victories over Fetih Kaya (5-3), Joel Breitenmoser (5-0), Vincent van der Meer (5-2) and Joey de Jong (5-0) Veenstra easily qualified for the last eight. Matt Campbell waited in the quarterfinals, who was defeated 5-4 after an exciting match.
Subsequently, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez (5-2) and Lukas Wenig (5-3) could not halt the momentum of 'Flyers' who averaged just over 100 in the final.
There will be a further Associate Member Qualifier currently taking place in Niedernhausen for the Gibraltar Darts Trophy but for Veenstra, after a good Challenge Tour weekend, he continues his momentum.
