Often pros will say that they hit nine-dart finishes for fun before they go on stage and that it is the pressure of being on the big stage that stops them but
Gary Anderson perhaps proved that theory or did he?
Anderson was practicing in the back room before his tie against Michael van Gerwen at the
PDC World Darts Championship in which The Flying Scotsman prevailed.
But the
Sky Sports camera was trained on him as he hit a 141 checkout to hit what could be a nine-darter or just a normal 141 finish. He pointed to it and said hit it that time.
There has yet to be a
nine-dart finish so far with Luke Woodhouse perhaps going the closest missing double 12. With £60,000 on the line for those hitting one, can we get one finally in the second half and could it be Anderson producing the below on stage?
