Robert Owen hit a 99 average and 40% on the outer ring in a supremely polished display to down Gabriel Clemens and in his words 97.5% secure his Tour Card for next season. After being a late replacement due to Dom Taylor's doping ban, he has taken every chance at the PDC World Darts Championship.
Now it is about building and he fired a message of confidence to Dave Chisnall or Ricky Evans who await next with both not firing on all cylinders like Owen is who now comes back after Christmas with confidence and also his family in tow.

"I'm proud I played well then but I still think there is more in the tank to come out. I thought I was in control of that game from the off really. Gabriel (Clemens) did play well taking nothing away from him, I just felt like I counteracted anything he done apart from that 149 or 143 he hit. I just literally laughed it off and got on the next leg," said Owen post match.
"97.5% sure I retain my Tour Card. Nothing's definite. I might win my next game now. I've lost with a bit more on the European Tour, something to be proud of."
"You can only beat what's in front of you but they're going to know that I mean business and they've got to play really well to maybe not beat me."
"After Christmas I'm going to have my wife and my children here. What more support do I need. Just to look over to them and say this is for you, I'm not doing it for myself. I'm doing it for my family and their wellbeing to make sure that we are hopefully financially secure. I'm doing it to secure a nice life for my family. We're sort of edging that way."
"I've been to Q-School three times and won my Tour Card three times. I won my Tour Card through the Challenge Tour, there's not many people who have done that. I don't think there's anyone as frequent as what I've done it. It goes to show that I'm mentally strong for the greater heights which hopefully I'm going to end up doing."
"Whatever happened with Dom is not in my control. I've come here with that winning mentality. Missing out by £500 now on the ProTour is gone. I just want to take my chances. I think I've been commanding in what I'm doing."
