The PDC has released a new video featuring
Stephen Bunting and
Rob Cross going head-to-head in a frantic game of Beat the Clock. Across three rounds, the pair were challenged to name as many things as possible within 30 seconds — from fellow players to chocolate bars and PDC venues.
In the opening round, they were asked to list as many players from the current top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit as they could. The clock stopped briefly after each correct answer, before switching to the other player. What sounded easy on paper quickly turned into chaos.
“You sly little cat, here we go… John Wayne on the trigger. Luke Littler… Rob Cross… Gezzy Price… Danny Noppert…” reeled off Bunting, before admitting: “You’ve frazzled me now. How long have I got?”
Cross, with a smirk, replied: “You’ve got half an hour, mate.”
Even he struggled to keep up, joking afterwards: “That’s the first time I’ve ever won this. That was horrendous.”
The second round moved on to chocolate bars — not exactly unfamiliar territory for the two of them. “You ready?” Cross asked. “Not really,” laughed Bunting, before rattling through: “Yorkie, Snickers, KitKat, Boost, Bounty, Starbar—oh, Starbar! Gorgeous, my favourite.”
After a few repeats and plenty of laughter, Bunting admitted defeat: “That’s probably my worst question. I don’t really eat chocolate—it wouldn’t show, would it?”
Finally, they faced the PDC venues challenge. Cross kicked off confidently with “Ally Pally… Winter Gardens… Marshall Arena…”, only to lose track as Bunting jumped in with, “Wait, there’s a little thingy… I wanted that one!”
By the end, neither could think of many more. “Could’ve had Civic Hall or Disney Village,” Cross said, laughing.
The light-hearted contest ended in plenty of laughter — and a fair few blanks — as both admitted they were happy to see the clock run out. Watch for yourself down below!
