Michael van Gerwen has started the final at the Players Championship Finals in spectacular fashion hitting a superb nine-dart finish against Luke Humphries in Minehead.
After an even start, Humphries was knocked well out of his stride on his own throw as Van Gerwen was at his laser sharp best on the trebles.
He went the usual 180, 180, 141 route and despite some dodgy camera work from the broadcast meaning that the double 12 wasn't seen until after he hit it, MVG headed to the break with a statement and another nine-dart finish in his locker.
