Scott Mitchell took on Michael Van Gerwen in his first taste of PDC action at Players Championship 1.
Despite not defeating the World Number One, Mitchell did leave some mark on proceedings smashing in a 170 checkout.
‘Scotty Dog’ will not be back in action in today’s event due to prior commitments but Rob Collins will now take his place.
