In the run-up to the resumption of Premier League Darts action on April 19, DartsNews takes a look back on how a player has started this year's tournament with Nathan Aspinall the latest to receive the spotlight.
Aspinall came into this year's tournament with many presuming 'The Asp' who has been nowhere near his best would be relegated.
But the Stockport ace has been proving the doubters' wrong during his opening foray into action in Milton Keynes.
Watch Doubles and Trebles roundup in the video below.
The former UK Open champion who reached the final last year currently sits third with six points alongside Dimitri van den Bergh and Michael van Gerwen and one point behind league leader, Jonny Clayton.
Aspinall led after the opening night with the only victory coming against Glen Durrant 7-3. He followed that up by being edged out by Dimitri van den Bergh but was 5-3 up against 'The Dreammaker' who came away with both points after being on the brink.
He returned though and saw off James Wade in a 7-4 win to recement his hopes and finished off the first half with back-to-back draws against Jose de Sousa and Michael van Gerwen.
Can he make it back-to-back Premier League finals? A bit early to tell but he is proving his doubters wrong, that is for sure.
