Jonny Clayton won the final of the
World Grand Prix last Saturday by defeating his compatriot and defending champion
Gerwyn Price.
A key moment in this match was the incredible third set which saw Price average 115 but still lost the set.
The Iceman took the lead in the third set, but Clayton tied the score with great finishes of 170 and 164. Price forced a fifth leg with a 72 finish before The Ferret claimed the set with a 13-darter.
This set win gave Clayton a 3-0 lead in sets. Price then won the fourth set, after which Clayton took the fifth and sixth set to take the title.
