Vincent van der Voort balks at draw against best friend: "This is not fun at all"

The World Series of Darts circus descends on the Netherlands this weekend for the Dutch Darts Masters.

In the opening round, Vincent van der Voort will take on his best friend Michael van Gerwen. "This is not fun at all," Van der Voort admits in conversation with Sportnieuws.nl. "Especially because you haven't played for two months and you want to prepare a little bit together. You can't do that now."

Despite this difficult draw, Van der Voort does want to make the best of it. "You have to make do with the draw you have. We will just see every behind the scenes and do normal. It's not the first time either."

The winner of the match between Van der Voort and Van Gerwen will take on the winner of the match between Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld in the second round.
