Wade spoke afterwards and said that his son was his inspiration to claim the victory after losing out early to Luke Humphries on Saturday.
He hopes as a result now that it can kick start some form going into the World Matchplay.
"Yesterday after I lost I looked at a picture of my son on my phone and that inspired me to win today," said Wade.
"The final wasn't a great game, in fact I wouldn't say I played very well today which is ironic really.
"But maybe today will boost me into a bit of form and I can do some damage at the World Matchplay."
