Wenig, Horvat, Williams and Plaisier claim qualifying spots for European Darts Matchplay

Wesley Plaisier has secured a place in the European Darts Matchplay. This European Tour tournament will be played in Trier from July 1-3. The Dutchman beat Stefan Bellmont 5-3 in the final round of the qualifier.

Plaisier recently participated in the German Darts Grand Prix, where he surprisingly reached the quarter-finals. At the European Tour tournament in Munich Plaisier beat Jim Williams, Joe Cullen and Dirk van Duijvenbode. In the last eight the eventual tournament winner Luke Humphries defeated him 6-5.

The three other starting spots for the European Darts Matchplay were won by Lukas Wenig, Dragutin Horvat and Scott Williams.
