White versus Gurney and Smith against Aspinall set for Players Championship 25 Semi-Finals

The semi-final line-up has been confirmed at Players Championship 25 with Ian White set to face off against Daryl Gurney and Michael Smith will take on Nathan Aspinall.

White could have a final against one of his closest friends and practice partner Smith and he did his chances a world of good by edging past Max Hopp in a 6-3 win. This came with a 99 average as he powered past the German.

Gurney ended the run of Peter Wright who couldn't produce his previous heroics which included multiple 100+ averages as he hit 89.1 going down 6-2 to 'Superchin'.

Smith played the best of the round averaging 100.4 in easing past Mensur Suljovic as he has his best run in a while which will be a massive confidence boost.

He takes on Nathan Aspinall who himself had to defy a 102.1 average from Justin Pipe who continues his return to form to win 6-4.
