Whitehead hits highest average of the Players Championship season so far

The highest averages of the year for the Players Championship series have been updated and Conan Whitehead leads the way after his stunning performance over the weekend.

Whitehead hit a stunning 115.35 average in the 25th event in which he ended up beating Jose de Sousa. It was a day of high averages with Gerwyn Price going fourth with 113.76.

Ian White though ended the weekend right behind him with 115.03 during the final event and Peter Wright also improved his highest mark to 114.15.

There is only still one player to hit a high average in the top ten and lose the game and that is Michael Smith back in event 1 showing that in this case, high averages do win games.
