Simon Whitlock produced a stand-out display during the opening night of the
Queensland Darts Masters for many reasons with 'The Wizard' dispatching James Wade 6-2.
But for Whitlock who recently won the World Cup of Darts with Damon Heta, it was an emotional time due to his Mum being there for the first time ever to see him play and win.
"Honestly, this means more to me than a lot of things because my mum was here to watch me play for the first time ever," reflected an emotional Whitlock.
"To see the look on her face when I won, I was like ‘yeah that’s it’."
