When it comes to most boards won in the Players Championship events, many guesses will be confidently directed to Wessel Nijman. However, they would be won. Fellow Dutchman Kevin Doets reigns supreme in this category after a fine start to the year.

There are 16 boards in each Players Championship event with eight players starting on each one. The player who wins in the third round is the only remaining player from that individual board, thus winning the board outright.

Dutchman out ahead

Doets is the leader in this stat, having won his board an incredible 10 times from 16 PC events played in 2026. His showings on the floor have been remarkable this year, showcasing a step up the ladder which makes him a very dangerous player.
Winning a maiden PDC ranking title helps a lot with that. He defeated Luke Woodhouse in the final of PC 13 to clinch his maiden title, a deserved one at that with some of the performances has averages he has put in. Out of the 10 boards he has won in 2026, seven times he has made it to the quarter-final stage, and four times in the semi-finals.
Just behind is Nijman with nine. Incredibly, Nijman has gone on to win the title five times from this point, that is over half of the board won. He has put in an immense level of darts this year which has seen him break the £100,000 mark in the Players Championship Order of Merit and rise into the top 16.
Level with the 25-year-old is the ever-consistent Chris Dobey. While not putting in the numbers that Nijman has been, 'Hollywood' has climaxed at the final three times, triumphing twice. Both Nijman and Doets have played two less events than Doets having skipped a pair of them sometime in the season. This relinquishes the chance of usurping him at the top, but does not take away the vast achievement that 'Hawkeye' has done.

Greaves leads chasing pack

A debut year as a tour card holder, Greaves having won seven boards is an incredible feat, and one that most players on the PDC Tour would be envious of. Out of the last eight floor tournaments, Greaves has not won her board in three of them. This includes reaching four quarter-finals, one of which she went on to win and become the first women to win a PDC ranking title.

A plethora of names have won six boards. Andrew Gilding recently upped his tally after clinching just his second PDC title after the UK Open back in 2023. Stephen Bunting is also on six despite only competing in ten PC competitions this year. Joe Cullen, Dave Chisnall and Krzysztof Ratajski also sit on six.
Just behind in five, Danny Noppert is the notable name. Both Joe Hunt and Tom Bissell have exploded out of the blocks, respective sitting 21st and 15th in the Players Championship Order of Merit. A massive part of that has been down to their consistency on the floor, setting them up for the rest of the year. Former UK Open semi-finalist Keane Barry has also impressed, finding a pathway back to his best touted by so many. The next PC events will be held in Leicester from May 18-19.
