Chris Dobey comfortably made it into the second round of the
Players Championship Finals. 'Hollywood' defeated Raymond van Barneveld 6-3 in his opening match.
Despite his victory, Dobey was not entirely satisfied afterwards. "It was just one of those," he told Online Darts. "I think I could have been 4-0 up and missed chances. I just didn't get going, I didn't settle."

"I think I could have been waiting on him to to kick in and I think once I had a good leg, he started to score as well," he explains. "Wasn't the best of games but I'm just delighted to get that win."
In 2019, Dobey reached the semifinals at the Players Championship Finals. "I used to do all right in Minehead but yeah, last last couple of years I played alright, but just lost to the better players."
Dobey won the Masters early this year, but how does he look back on the rest of the year? "I still haven't shown the best of me this year. I've played some good stuff, but there's still a lot more to come," he says honestly.
"The Premier League's done great things for me. It's made me a better player and I loved every minute of it. Great lads as well, they made us feel welome you know and I felt pretty hard done by to be honest. Who wouldn't want to play that again next year?"
