The
European Darts Open continues with mixed fortunes for further big names involved in Leverkusen.
Peter Wright won't play any further part as his form woes continue with Challenge Tour standout
Scott Williams continuing his dream
European Tour debut with a 6-4 victory over the World Number One.
Wright only averaged 86.8 in defeat with 'Shaggy' producing a superb display barring on the doubles despite sealing victory.
He hit four 180's but 6/21 on the doubles compared to no maximums and 4/19 from 'Snakebite' as he heads home from another European Tour early.
While
Jonny Clayton on the other hand continued his form as of late by coasting past Rowby-John Rodriguez to reach the final day.
Clayton easily took a 3-0 lead and made it 5-1 from there with a 121 checkout which has become his trademark and did so again to seal it in a typical display from 'The Ferret'. He now faces Michael van Gerwen in the Last 16.
