World finalist Tricole and Plaisier seals Austrian Darts Open qualification

WDF World Championship finalist Thibault Tricole will be part of the line-up for the next European Tour (29 April - 1 May) which is the Austrian Darts Open.

Tricole as a result of defeating Kevin Blomme 5-2 becomes the first Frenchman to play on the European Tour and will hope for a similar run to Lakeside.

Also joining him is Wesley Plaisier who defeated Philip van Gasse 5-1. On Saturday the Dutchman also qualified for the European Darts Matchplay (July 1-3).

Plaisier also recently participated in the German Darts Grand Prix, where he surprisingly reached the quarter finals. At the Euro Tour tournament in Munich Plaisier beat Jim Williams, Joe Cullen and Dirk van Duijvenbode. In the last eight the eventual tournament winner Luke Humphries was too strong 6-5.
