The first match in the Quarter-Finals at the German Darts Masters is complete with Peter Wright edging past Nico Kurz in a tight game to move through to the semi-finals in Cologne.
Wright was 7-3 up in the contest but missed multiple match darts which fired the 22-year old up to end up at 7-6 behind towards the end but 'Snakebite' just about moved through.
It started really well for Wright up to that point after Kurz initially went 2-1 up. A pivotal break at 3-2 up with a 77 finish was the catalyst from there he went 6-2 up after the interval including another break of throw.
He was seemingly cruising but like alluded to as the finishing line came into view, Kurz came back meaning a nervy ending for the Scot who will be one of the favourites to win the title now.
Kurz though can leave Cologne with his head held high taking out Gary Anderson and pushing
Peter Wright all the way but it is the latter who moves through to a tie with either Daryl Gurney or James Wade later.
