Wright new leader on Players Championship Order of Merit after 23 events

Peter Wright is the new number one in the Players Championship Order of Merit after his good results at the last PDC Super Series.
As a result, he passes Jose de Sousa at the top of the table after reaching two finals, winning one of them. After 23 ProTour tournaments, he has claim £56,750 in prize money giving him a £250 lead over Clayton and De Sousa.
Behind the aforementioned trio, Gerwyn Price is number four with £48,000. Behind them are Joe Cullen, Michael Smith and Brendan Dolan.
Michael van Gerwen is now in 13th place after his barren spell continued, while Simon Whitlock and William O'Connor currently occupy the final spots for the Players Championship Finals.

- There are 30 Players Championship rounds to play first throughout the year and you have to be in the top 64 to get to the finals.
