This was due to on stage needle between the pair which fans said towed the line and as Wright explained afterwards, they had words in the practice room with Price saying at times beforehand that he'd lose 6-0 but as the video shows below, Wright gave him a tap when winning the first set and Price didn't like this.
As a result Price celebrated when he won the next set and Wright called him a bully in the aftermath and said that he should have been fined more in reference to his incident with Gary Anderson at the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts.
"When we got here, we had practice and we wound each other up, he said he's going to win the first two sets and that I am going to switch back to my Diamond darts. When I pinched the first set, I gave him a little poke and he didn't like it," said Wright to RTL 7 after his victory.
"He's a bully, a big bully and he should have been fined more."
