Peter Wright has taken over an extraordinary record from Roland Scholten at the World Matchplay. Never before has a player thrown so many 140-scores in a second round match as 'Snakebite' did during his match against Krzysztof Ratajski.

The Scot scored no less than 27 times a 140 against Ratajski (13-11 win for Wright). With that, he set a new record.

Scholten managed to throw a 140 in his match against Steve Beaton 26 times in 2001. The Dutchman had more legs to do so though. That match was won by Beaton 15-13.

📊 Peter Wright set a new record for 140s thrown in a Last 16 contest at the World Matchplay. His 27 against Ratajski surpassed Roland Scholten's 26 against Steve Beaton in 2001. 🦓
