Peter Wright has been handed a challenging draw in his quest to defend the title at the Melbourne Darts Masters as he faces Corey Cadby in the first round.
Wright, the number one seed, is in a tough half of the draw and could meet Raymond van Barneveld in the second round. If the Scotsman gets through that Michael van Gerwen or Gary Anderson possibly awaits in the semi-finals at the Melbourne Darts Masters.
Van Barneveld begins his campaign against Haupai Puha, who he met in Brisbane as well. The Dutchman claimed a 6-2 win in their previous meeting. Van Gerwen takes on Tim Pusey, while Anderson meets James Bailey.
Last week's semi-finalist Daryl Gurney will have a tough test when he faces Kyle Anderson. The
newly crowned Brisbane Darts Masters champion Damon Heta takes on James Wade. Rob Cross has drawn Robbie King, while Simon Whitlock will play against Mick Lacey.
