PDC Walk On World Cup: Mardle knocks out Van Gerwen to reach semi-finals

Among those through include Wayne Mardle who pulled off the unthinkable to defeat Michael Van Gerwen. He was 63%-37% down but rallied his followers on Twitter to vote for him and they did with ‘Hawaii 501’ claiming it 53%-47% in the end.

Next up for Mardle is Devon Petersen who saw off Robert Thornton (57.9%-42.1%) to win through as The African Warrior’s popular walk on survives once again.

The other semi-final sees Raymond van Barneveld against Peter Wright. ‘Barney’ edged past Daryl Gurney (50.8%-49.2%). While for Wright he eased through on the other hand against Dave Chisnall (72.9%-27.1%) as he confirmed the line-up.

So Mardle, Petersen, Wright and Van Barneveld remain. Who will move one step closer to winning? The Polling opens shortly for the last round.
