James Richardson claimed the first Remote Darts League title on Monday evening after seeing off Paul Hogan in the final which came after winning the league phase.
Richardson was understandably ecstatic after winning the tournament which saw a league then a play-offs night and after being the outstanding player throughout he showed that in the final.
“I’m just over the moon, I’m lost for words. I played some good stuff,” said Richardson in the aftermath of his victory.
He also hit the highest checkout in the tournament of 161 in the final itself: “Is there a bonus for that?” the Rushden ace joked.
Richard Ashdown wasn’t sure but promised to buy him a pint if there was not one. Watch the winning checkout and interview below:
