Monk claims Modus Icons of Darts League Group Two on leg difference

The second day of action is complete in the Icons of Darts League with Arron Monk who came in as a replacement making a perfect start to his campaign claiming the group on leg difference.

Monk only came into the competition as a replacement for Anastasia Dobromyslova and he finished the day on three wins and one defeat.

He saw off Jose Justicia (5-0), Jarred Cole (5-3) and finally Keelan Kay (5-3) having lost out to Ritchie Edhouse 5-4 to open his campaign.

Edhouse was on a roll and also claimed three wins and one defeat but when it looked like he was on the verge of claiming a clean sweep, Jarred Cole saw him off 5-2 to give Monk the initiative.

Cole finished third after winning the group yesterday with two wins and two defeats. While Keelan Kay and Jose Justicia finalised proceedings.

The Icons of Darts League is a competition that runs on 24 different days from Monday April 6 through to Saturday May 2. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win for that day.
