The only thing that mattered to Phil was winning, he couldn't have cared less about social media or being popular or any of the class A bullsheet players of today fret over.
Phil wouldn't even need to be in his prime to beat every player of today.
Players of today are more interested in being popular ( oh please like me ) and the money than winning.

- Checking the match odds (2017 Matchplay) it looks like Taylor was about 20/1 if you backed him in each game and rolled your winnings on. I'd say he was 16/1 or so with the books before the off. Van Gerwen was rampant at that point, having won almost every TV major for two years so that was the only game where Taylor was underdog (almost 4/1 for that match)
- At least Humphries is not trying to claim the Premier League and US Darts Masters are “Majors”, just major titles to win. They are still both invitational exhibition events.

Daryl Gurney did not partner Johnny Clayton at the World Cup you numpties, it was Josh Rock.
- Thats a bit of a bad selection, taking Rock but no Gurney. Should of left out drab and dour Dobey and taken the full World Cup winning pair.
- Not having anyone who identifies as a woman competing would help.
- Price has been playing as well as Humphries and Littler just that he seems to come up against someone who plays a blinder.
He also does seem to have a spell in some matches where he goes off the boil.
- I couldn't understand at the time why he changed darts? I guess it was all to do with money,but his darts designer came from Australia or new Zealand. It's not as if you pop to Stockport for a chat!!
- Smith has been rubbish since he won the world title. Like he reached the top of the mountain and then gave up. Anyone else would have tried a change of dart, but not Smith, the sponsorship money was more important than success. He will be lucky to stay in the top 100 the way his game is going...
