Tuesday night the first four matches of the second round of the
World Matchplay were played. It was a long evening, especially because of the extra long match between Peter Wright and Krzysztof Ratajski.
The defending Schampion needed a tiebreak to see off Ratajski. The match between James Wade and Nathan Aspinall was also close, but Aspinall narrowly avoided a tiebreak.
Dimitri van den Bergh had earlier won comfortably 11-6 against Rowby-John Rodriguez. Michael van Gerwen beat Joe Cullen 11-5 to secure his place in the last eight.
