James Wade is through to the Quarter-Finals at Stadium MK after defeating Simon Whitlock 10-8 in a return to form for the Machine who got a classy win over ‘The Wizard’ to move through after a year or so in the darting doldrums which like Chisnall yesterday cost him his place in the Premier League.

Five 180’s, a 95 average and 50% on the doubles from the Aldershot ace won him through where he will now play either Michael van Gerwen or Kim Huybrechts in a tricky Quarter-Final for the 2014 Masters Champion.

It was a game where Whitlock played well in spells including missing D12 for the 9-darter as he went agonisingly close to sending the MK crowd into raptures with the first 9-darter at the Masters.
