Brandon Weening and Jules Taylor win titles at WDF Pacific Masters

Brandon Weening and Jules Taylor won the WDF Pacific Masters on Saturday. This tournament in Australia has silver status on the WDF calendar.

Weening escaped elimination in the first round against Shannon O'Brien (4-3), and he also struggled in the third round against Mal Cuming (4-3). In between, he defeated Corey Collins (4-1), and later followed victories over Luke Wilson (4-2) and Jonas Howard (5-0) for a final spot. In the final, Scott Hallett was defeated 6-3.

Taylor won the women's title by beating Julie Lewis (3-1), Tiarna Smith (3-2), Leanne Randall (3-2), Kym Mitchell (3-1), Lyn Morrison (4-2) and Andrea Hendley (5-2) in succession.
