Three years in a row, Beau Greaves has ascended to the top of Women's Darts at the WDF World Championship at Lakeside with no other winner since it switched from the BDO.

She handed Sophie McKinlay a second final loss of the night with the 18-year-old Scot defeated by Paige Pauling earlier in the night in the Girls' Final. It continues to show the dominance of Greaves who also leads the way on the other side of the darting divide in the PDC.

But has not played at Ally Pally since the PDC banned those who qualified from both from playing both. She has sided with the WDF since then but the questions have remained whether she will divert the other way one year.

But this week has been dominance amid her admitting that she wasn't best pleased with how her game is right now. After losing the first set, it was Greaves at her best.

McKinlay became the first player to take a set off Greaves in this year's World Championship. She punished four missed set darts from the two-time champion to take the opener 3-2. But Greaves ramped it up from there.

She levelled up going into the first break winning the second set 3-0 with a pair of 17-darters and a 16-darter. It was six straight legs for Greaves as she took the third set 3-0 to move in front. McKinlay did get a leg on the board to stop the rot but Greaves was quickly easing towards the title. She went 3-1 up in the race to four with legs in 15, 14 and 18 darts completing the set 3-1.

Greaves missed 104 for the opening leg of the fifth set but McKinlay was way back and Greaves went 1-0 up. She hit an 84 checkout to go one away and broke hitting the front throwing for the match. McKinlay though broke back with Greaves unable to complete the win. But she did so the next leg with an 89 on the bull with McKinlay ready to send it all the way.
