Chris Landman through in three sets against Davie Kirwan as Lorraine Winstanley flawless against Veronika Ihasz

Chris Landman became the fourth Dutchman to secure a spot in the last sixteen at the WDF World Championships. 'The Countryman' eliminated David Kirwan in three sets in the second round.

The Dutchman needed an average of 84 to get the job done. Landman won the first set 3-0, and then showed more determination in the important moments.

In both the second and third sets, Landman fell behind 1-2. In the second set, Landman made it 2-2 via double 5, then won the set with a 102 finish. In the third set, Landman turned the deficit around with a 100 finish and a 101 checkout. Landman will play the winner of the match between Kai Fan Leung and Thomas Junghans in the third round of Lakeside.

Lorraine Winstanley managed to reach the last eight of the women's tournament. She did not concede a single leg against Veronika Ihasz. With two 3-0 wins, Winstanley qualified for the quarter-finals.
