The Dutch continue to do well at the WDF World Championships in Frimley Green.
Dennie Olde Kalter became the fifth Dutchman to secure a spot in the Last 16 at
Lakeside.
Olde Kalter outlasted Darren Johnson in the second round 3-1 in sets. Johnson won the third set 3-0, but in the other three sets Olde Kalter was the master and only conceded one more leg. The 32-year-old dart player from Hengelo will face Jelle Klaasen in the last sixteen. Wednesday evening one more Dutchman can qualify for the third round. Then Jarno Bottenberg will have to deal with the sixth seed Danny Lauby.
Thomas Junghans may also advance to the next round of the WDF World Championships. The Swiss recorded a 3-1 victory over Kai Fan Leung of Hong Kong. Junghans will be the opponent of Chris Landman in the next round, who won 3-0 in sets against David Kirwan earlier in the day.
