Beau Greaves begins her hunt for successive titles at the Women's World Championship at Lakeside against Lorraine Hyde or Laura Turner, the draw for the women's tournament has revealed.
Greaves won last year's women's tournament in Frimley Green in supreme fashion. She conceded just one set in four sets and in the final defeated Kirsty Hutchinson 4-0 in sets thanks to an average of 92.
Aileen de Graaf is the number two seed at Lakeside. She will play against Nicole Regnaud or Anna Forsmark. De Graaf is one of four Dutch players at this event.
Four-time women's world champion Lisa Ashton will stream into the tournament from the second round. She will meet the winner of the match between Kym Mitchell and Priscilla Steenbergen. Deta Hedman will face either Aletta Wajer or Paula Jacklin.
The women's tournament at Lakeside will take place from December 2 to 10. The first round will take place on December 2 and 3. In the following days the seeded players will enter the tournament.
