Beau Greaves has moved into the final of the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship after seeing off Lorraine Winstanley with relative ease and will now face Kirsty Hutchinson later today.
Greaves spoke post match and admitted she was buzzing to move through and discussed her mindset of it being the biggest game of her life pre match.
"I feel the best I've felt in my life. I just feel so buzzing. I can't wait for tomorrow (Sunday). Lorraine didn't find that second gear and I weren't feeling bad for her on the stage but when I got off I thought I know how well she can play," said Greaves to Tungsten Tales.
"I said to my sister it took me a while to get on the practice board because I thought this is the biggest game of my life. My sister said to me just chill and play your darts and that helped me so much."
But while her opponent Hutchinson has struggled at times on doubles, Greaves isn't picking that part of the game as a weakness to exploit due to by her own admission it all being on the day.
"You can never predict darts. Kirsty's one of my great friends. If she wins it, she wins it and if I win it. No matter what, we will both respect each other in that way. There's no animosity on stage. I hope we both bring our A game as it'll be brilliant to watch."
It was nearly a tournament she didn't play though with her dartitis struggles documented but the 18-year-old has risen from that to produce an epic week.
"When it was originally meant to be in January, I said to my sponsor that I'm going to pull out. I cannot play these darts as I was struggling so bad but just to get here, for the first time in eight years in darts I feel so proud."
