Duff looks ahead after reaching 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship Final: "As the venue gets busier, I'll feed off them"

Neil Duff saved his best performance for when it mattered most breezing past Richard Veenstra to reach the final of the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship.

Next up will be Thibault Tricole as 'The Duffman' looks to cap off an incredible week and as expected, he was ecstatic.

"The only prediction I made was I said I'll be playing on Sunday and I'm playing on Sunday so I'm absolutely over the moon. It's not really sunk in. I felt the way I was playing I should have won 5-1 but Richard is a good guy, he didn't play his best game. That was probably the worst game of the week," said Duff to Tungsten Tales.

He also spoke about deploying different tactics in order to slow down the game against Tricole who similar to Duff is fairly quick.

"I'll throw my darts quick but I'll walk back like Scott Mitchell and just try and let me predict the pace of the game. I'm happy with my game. I missed a few doubles but all in all, it's all coming together and hopefully I've saved my best for tomorrow."

As well as the hope from his end that the venue gets even busier so he can feed off the crowd.

"I've got more in the tank. For all the moaning, I could've thrown for another nine sets. I was feeding off the crowd and as the venue gets busier, I'll feed off them. I love it."
