Jimmy van Schie and Lisa Ashton took the titles in the singles tournaments at the WDF Swiss Open in Kloten last weekend. For Van Schie it was his third WDF title of the season, after also winning in Romania and Austria earlier this year.

The Dutchman successively won over Marco Diethelm (4-0), Darren Laker (4-1), Moreno Blom (4-2), Finn Nielsen (4-0), Francois Schweyen (4-3), Martyn Turner (4-0) and Connor Scutt (4-1) to qualify for the final. Van Schie was then too strong for Darren Johnson in the final, 5-3.
Among the ladies, Ashton managed to live up to her favorite role. 'The Lancashire Rose' dealt with Angela Heinrich (4-0), Ina Rademacher (4-0), Jojo Rolls (4-1), Greta Tekauer (4-2) and Irina Armstrong (5-3).
