No clash with World Seniors as 2023 WDF World Championship confirmed to not run in first quarter of the year

Information was confirmed this morning (Wednesday) relating to the future of the WDF World Championship with no dates confirmed so far for the tournament which this year took place in April at Lakeside.

The future of the tournament at Lakeside has been confirmed for the coming years but also it is likely to be in that slot again with the WDF confirming this morning that they would not run in January, February or March.

While dates have not been confirmed yet alongside broadcast partners, this also means that Neil Duff is more likely to defend his title with the Northern Irishman accepting an invite to the World Seniors on 9 Feb - 12 Feb 2023 also after no answers were forthcoming on the tournament.

Rumors swelled for sometime that the WDF were initially planning to run on the same week as the World Seniors but this is now not the case with further information set to be released in due course.
