The World Darts Federation (WDF) have announced their prize fund ahead of their inaugural World Championship taking place at the historic Lakeside.
Richard Ashdown, Chief Development Officer for the WDF previously teased a big boost to ladies darts which has now been received in the form of a record prize fund.
£25,000 will go the way of the winner along with an overall prize fund of £87,000.
This compared to £26,500 (£10,000 to the winner) last time the tournament was played under the BDO banner and £29,000 (£12,000) to the winner last time it was played at Lakeside.

In the men's tournament, the winner will claim £50,000, the runner-up is set for £25,000. This gives an overall prize fund of £200,000.
This is a huge increase from the final BDO World Championship when only £23,000 was given to the winner in Wayne Warren with a new dawn ushered in by the WDF who will begin their World Championship between January 1-9 2022.
