Puha and Mitchell win first WDF tournament of the season in New Zealand

Last weekend, the new WDF season started in New Zealand. The first tournaments were won by Haupai Puha and Kym Mitchell.

Puha crowned himself winner of the men's tournament at the Canterbury Open. Puha was too strong for Craig Ross in the semi-final 4-0, while the experienced Warren Parry managed to eliminate his opponent Ben Robb 4-3. Puha then won the final 5-4.

Among the ladies, the final victory went to Mitchell. She beat Amanda Loch 4-0 in the semi-finals and then also beat Wendy Harper (4-2) in the final.
