Vandenbogaerde and De Vreede claim qualifying spots for Lakeside

Mario Vandenbogaerde and Ryan de Vreede have secured the two spots for the men's tournament of the WDF World Championship, which will be played at Lakeside from January 1-9.

Vandenbogaerde claimed his place after defeating Belgian compatriot Kenny Neyens 6-2 in the final, while De Vreede edged out Danny Jansen after a leg-decider.

In the ladies event Marjolein Noijens qualified for the ladies World Championship. She defeated Vanessa Zuidema 5-4 in the final.

Also for the youth there were qualifying tournaments. Bradley Roes and Luis Liptow managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the WDF World Championship for boys. This field of participants is completed with two winners of the British qualification tournament.

The girls qualification tournament in Assen was won by Wibke Riemann. She will meet the winner of the qualification tournament in England in the final of the girls World Championship.
