World Series of Darts Finals with
Rob Cross completing proceedings with a 10-8 victory over Michael Smith.
Cross who has struggled for form as of late had no such issues against Smith hitting a 98.6 average, six 180's and four ton plus checkouts.
Smith opened up proceedings with a 180 but Cross hit a 116 checkout to get the first leg on the board. It was the former's doubles especially in the early part of the tie which blighted him.
He was down at 0/5 as Cross was allowed to help himself to a 2-0 lead. Cross head into a 3-1 lead despite being outplayed by Smith barring doubles.
Smith came back into the tie and claimed three legs on the spin to make it 4-3. Cross hit a 107 checkout to get it back to parity.
Smith's doubling woes continued though as he was down at 22% with Cross taking advantage to make it 6-4. Smith reduced the deficit to 7-5 and he hit a 110 checkout to once again attempt to get back into the tie at 7-6 down.
Their back and forth continued with Smith breaking back to claim parity at 8-8 but Cross took out 92 for an 11-darter to break back and go one away and from there, he concluded the tie 10-8.
