Schedule World Seniors Darts Matchplay 2023: Taylor, Henderson, Part, Thornton and Durrant during evening session

The WSDT has announced the playing schedule for the World Seniors Darts Matchplay. This seniors tournament is scheduled for September 2 and 3 in York, England.

Sixteen well-known darters over the age of 50 will then compete for the title at one of the major tournaments on the World Seniors Darts Tour. The first round is on Saturday, Sept. 2, with the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals a day later.

The tournament kicks off with a meeting between former Lakeside champion Scott Mitchell and his challenger Paul Hogan. Richie Howson then meets Trina Gulliver, the only female participant in this tournament. Three-time Lakeside champion Martin Adams will face Kevin Painter before Leonard Gates and Colin McGarry close out the afternoon session.

The biggest names will be in action during the evening session, with the top affair a clash between 16-time world champion Phil Taylor and three-time world champion John Part. Crowd favorite John Henderson lays on against David Cameron, while Robert Thornton was paired with Neil Duff in the draw. The final match of the first round is between Glen Durrant and Jim McEwan.
