Saturday evening sees the continuation of the
World Seniors Darts Matchplay with Tungsten Time being at 7pm at the Bonus Arena in Hull with some top names making their first appearances in this tournament.
Ronnie Baxter like Peter Evison was very vocal about not getting invites to World Seniors tournaments especially after 'The Rocket' played in the qualifier and his throw looked a shell of it's former glory after many wondered why he suddenly fell off the tour not to be seen in recent years.
But will he be able to roll back the years or will he suffer a similar fate to 'The Fen Tiger' in being thrashed by
Terry Jenkins who has only just of course left the tour in recent years and will be a familiar foe.
Robert Thornton was the first ever World Seniors World Champion and will face a player who has already made his first appearance in Hull in Brian Dawson who impressed at times earlier today against Tony O'Shea and if the script repeats itself could be a tie that goes long.
Martin Adams will look to like Phil Taylor live up to his WSDT billing when he faces Bob Anderson who is still winless in these tournaments. Before Lisa Ashton returns to the stage again to face a returning inaugural World Matchplay champion in Larry Butler - but will lightning strike twice for 'The Bald Eagle'.
Evening Session (7pm)
Terry Jenkins v Ronnie Baxter
Brian Dawson v Robert Thornton
