THROWBACK VIDEO: Warren becomes final BDO World Champion with victory over Williams

With the BDO World Darts Championship not taking place this month due to the organisation’s demise, DartsNews looks back at classic moments and matches throughout January from the showpiece event.

Onto 2020 and the final year that the BDO World Darts Championship was held at the Indigo at the O2 switching from the Lakeside.

Wayne Warren became the final BDO World Champion defeating Jim Williams 7-4 in the final but it was a World Championship that was known due to the prize money being drastically reduced.

As well as being the final edition of the prestigious tournament as from there, the BDO collapsed in September 2020 and the WDF have since announced their intentions to run a World Championship but those plans weren't executed during this past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
