Lewis set on claiming potential third World title: "No reason why I shouldn't"

Adrian Lewis won his two World titles nearly a decade ago in 2011 and 2012 but despite needing a fast return to form, 'Jackpot' has not given up hope of a third.

“I think so, no reason why I shouldn’t. I’d like world title No.3," said Lewis to Darts World.

For the Stoke-on-Trent ace, his main goal this season is to rise up the rankings and he believes the Masters this weekend is as good a time as any to begin his return to form.

“I’ll be maintaining same set of darts, stop switching equipment on a regular basis, having confidence in my ability.

“It’s been an accumulation of things behind the scenes. I want to climb back up the rankings.

“Depending on the amount of tournaments I’m hoping I can do good things this year, there is no reason I shouldn’t.

“The Masters is a massive opportunity to find some confidence which would set me up perfectly for the big year ahead.”
