Magnus Caris will bow out of professional darts after appearing in the World Cup of Darts for the final time next month in Hamburg, it has been revealed.
Caris, also known as ‘Poker Face’ has enjoyed a 32 year career and his appearance at the World Cup will be his eighth in total and he partners Dennis Nilsson.
He is most famous for his time on the BDO circuit where he reached the semi-finals in both Lakeside and the World Masters and has long been the trailblazer in terms of Nordic and Baltic darts.
Also he has appeared in the PDC World Championship five times losing in the first round each time he has played but has enjoyed most of his success as of late through the Nordic and Baltic and European Tour; most memorably his run to the Quarter-Finals of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy two years ago where he beat the likes of Jelle Klaasen, Benito van de Pas and Dyson Parody en route.
