The race to the World Matchplay continues after the European Darts Grand Prix as the last few places remain up for grabs going into the last seven events before the cut off.
Kyle Anderson has dropped out of the current ProTour standings on countback with Mervyn King and 'The Original' currently tied but it is King who is in that 16th position.
Chris Dobey also remains only £250 away from the top 16 with other players such as Gabriel Clemens and Vincent van der Voort only a small amount away from catching them up.
As a result it will be an interesting few events to see if the order does in fact stay the same or if there are some surprise players that do come into the foray for World Matchplay qualification.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
