Full BBC TV Guide for the 2019 Champions League of Darts

The Champions League of Darts is back again, and live on the BBC.

Once a hub of darting coverage, the BBC is down to showing just one professional event. Luckily for their audience, it's one featuring the best players the game has to offer. The Champions League of Darts pits the PDC Order of Merit's top eight against each other for a £100,000 top prize.

Defending champion Gary Anderson finds himself in Group A, alongside world champion and recent World Grand Prix winner Michael van Gerwen. Michael Smith, twice a major finalist in 2019, joins them. Rounding off a group of death is 2018 European Championship and World Series Finals victor James Wade.

Rob Cross and Daryl Gurney, the bald superstars and world numbers two and three, headline in Group B. They won't have it easy against Peter Wright - fresh off some record-smashing antics in Barnsley - and Gerwyn Price.

The Champions League of Darts heads into its fourth year. The first two, held in Cardiff, were won by Phil Taylor and Mensur Suljovic. Anderson saw off Wright to win the 2018 title in Brighton. This year, the event moves to the Morningside Arena in Leicester. Should anyone but Anderson be victorious on Sunday evening, the run of new names on the trophy will continue.

BBC coverage schedule

The first session, on the afternoon of Saturday 19 October, will be shown on BBC One. In the evening, the Champions League of Darts is jilted in favour of some sort of show about dancing. It'll move over to BBC Two as the afternoon session's winners and losers face off.

The action remains on BBC Two until its conclusion. The final group games will be played in the afternoon. The semi-finals and final are then competed in the evening session.
