Daryl Gurney is through with ease to the Last 32 of the 2020 PDC World Championship claiming a rout against Justin Pipe to begin his campaign.
It was 3-1, 3-0, 3-1 to Gurney as he hit a 96 average and 50 percent on the doubles and looked good in the process completing what was a professional job against Pipe.
Pipe took out the first leg with a 104 checkout but from there he flattered to deceive. Gurney romped to the first set 3-1 hitting 33 on the doubles hitting 68 to wrap up the opening set.
To begin the next set, a second 180 and an 80 checkout saw him seal the throw and a fourth leg on the spin and he broke the throw from there to deal a killer blow potentially to Pipe.
It was 2-0 from there as he claimed six legs on the bounce without reply as he went towards the finishing line with ease.
Pipe squandered four darts at doubles and Gurney broke again to lead in set three. He went one away with double eight and despite Pipe holding throw to halve the deficit, Gurney completed the job.
